• Media registration details: media house or employer name, employment type (employed or freelance), published story URLs submitted for freelance byline verification, and verification status.
• Identity & contact details: name, age (where provided), institution or organisation, designation, email address, and phone number.
• Submission & professional information: press release content, metadata, geographic tags, embargo details, and communications related to moderation.
• Professional Network directory: if you opt in, your name, headline, organisation, beats, location, short bio, and headshot may appear on the public /networking directory. You can turn this off at any time from Follow Your Work.
• Account & authentication data: login credentials, session identifiers, and admin access cookies where applicable.
• Payment-related data: transaction references and payment status processed via authorised third-party payment gateways. We do not store full card or UPI credentials on our servers.
• Technical & usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, timestamps, and diagnostic logs necessary for security and service performance.

Where you provide sensitive personal data or information (“SPDI”) as defined under the SPDI Rules—such as financial information linked to a payment—we collect it only with your explicit consent and for specified lawful purposes.

Press release content is kept on the live wire for thirty (30) days after publication, then moved to month-wise and date-wise archives accessible via PRHub.in. Archive retention supports editorial lookup; release text and metadata may be retained longer where required for moderation, billing, or legal compliance.

7. Security practices

We implement reasonable security practices and procedures consistent with the SPDI Rules, including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), role-based administration, and monitoring for unauthorised access. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you share information at your own risk to the extent permitted by law.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable Indian law, including the DPDP Act, you may have the right to:

• Obtain a summary of personal data we process about you and the processing activities;
• Request correction, completion, updating, or erasure of inaccurate or outdated data;
